What does a book marketing company actually do?
“Three things: positioning, which decides who the book is for and how it presents on the shelf; visibility, which gets it in front of those readers; and conversion, which turns a reader who sees it into one who buys.”

“No. Readers, algorithms and markets are outside any agency's control. Anyone guaranteeing sales, reviews or rankings without conditions is either guessing or counting on you not to check.”
在公司资料中查看When is book marketing not the right spend?
“When the book is not published yet, when reviews point to editing or structural problems, when the cover signals the wrong genre, or when there are too few reviews for advertising to convert. In each of those cases the money is better spent elsewhere first, and we will say so.”
在公司资料中查看Should I market a book that is already out?
“Yes, and it is common. The launch window carries weight that cannot be recreated, but a backlist title with good reviews and no visibility is one of the more straightforward cases to work on.”
