“You can cancel anytime with 10 days' notice; we have no exit penalties or cancellation fees.”
What's the process of switching?
“Simply complete the online signup form. Our team takes care of the rest! There is no interruption of service and no requirement to call your current retailer.”
What is a prudential?
“Energy retailers in Alberta are required to pay a prudential charge to guarantee payment to the generators (electricity only) for the cost of energy and wires. This charge is passed on to our Discount Advantage customers as a refundable deposit that earns 5% interest annually. If you prefer not to pay the deposit, choose a Base rate plan instead.”
Do I have to cancel my energy from my existing supplier?
“Get Energy will report the switch on your behalf and let your current retailer know the switch date. However, consumers should always check the Terms and Conditions of their current contract to ensure there are no early termination fees.”
Are there hidden fees?
“There are no hidden fees. You pay your energy rate plus a $9.97/month administration fee per metered site. That's it.”
