“We use the internationally recognised CARMACAL CO₂ calculator to determine the carbon emissions for all services used on site during our trips. We provide answers as to how much CO₂ is emitted by overnight stays, transport and activities in the country being visited, and all these emissions are offset for you free of charge in cooperation with myclimate.”
“Our partner myclimate has launched the climate protection project ‘Indigenous communities protect rainforest in Fiji’. Instead of using felled trees to earn a living, the country's local landowners do so by protecting the forest.”
“You can top it all off by offsetting the emissions from your flights through our partner atmosfair. These are always calculated per flight and per person.”
“If you've got any questions, are simply curious or have any ideas about other projects we could support, just send us an e-mail at responsibility@journaway.com. Our sustainability experts Inka and Regina will be happy to take time to address your concerns.”
