How do you empty and dispose of them?
“With a few simple steps, you can easily change the barrel of all our products – you can find the videos in the respective product FAQs! Composting in your own garden is generally legal – however, this is not permitted commercially.”
Is a water connection required?
“No. An eco-toilet can be set up completely independently of the location. The water required for washing stations, for example, is connected externally via tanks and does not require its own supply.”
Is a duct connection required?
“No. Thanks to the dry toilet system, an eco-toilet does not need to be connected to a wastewater pipe or a sewer system. All waste is collected directly and not discharged into the sewage system.”
Is a power connection required?
“Not for most products. The lamps in our cabins are powered by solar cells and batteries, which means that no sockets are required for lighting. The heating and the instantaneous water heater for the shower require a power connection.”
Is the öKlo weatherproof?
“Yes, our ecological toilets can withstand storms and rain as well as hot sunlight. Even in deep snow, hail or frost, there is no risk that the toilets will not work.”
