What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?
“A chatbot answers questions in a conversation. An AI agent can also take actions — look up an order, book a job, update your CRM, send an invoice — by connecting to your systems and following rules you set. Most chatbots become far more valuable once they are built as agents.”

“The most common jobs are answering and qualifying customer enquiries 24/7, processing invoices and documents into Xero or an ERP, booking and confirming appointments, chasing quotes and follow-ups, and producing reports from data spread across several systems. Trades, logistics, healthcare, retail and property businesses see the fastest payback.”

“A single-purpose agent with one or two integrations is typically live in 3–6 weeks. Agents that run a multi-step process across several systems take 6–12 weeks. You get a fixed timeline with the fixed-price proposal.”
