Do I need ISPM-15 fumigation for corrugated export cartons?
“No. ISPM-15 covers solid wood over 6 mm only. Corrugated board, paper honeycomb, plywood and moulded pulp are all exempt because processing has already eliminated pest risk.”
View in the company profileHow do I stop parts rusting inside a shipping container?
“Combine a correctly dosed desiccant with VCI film or emitters, and use closed-cell rather than open-cell cushioning. Desiccant quantity must be calculated from enclosed volume, packaging moisture and transit duration — a few sachets in a container achieve nothing.”
View in the company profileCan corrugated cartons really replace wooden export crates?
“For many machinery loads, yes. A 7-ply carton or honeycomb crate with engineered foam fitments matches the protection at lower weight and cost, and removes the ISPM-15 process entirely. Send us the product weight and dimensions and we will assess it honestly.”
View in the company profileWhat stretch film should export pallets use?
“23 micron or heavier. Sea freight applies sustained vibration and repeated handling, and film that merely holds a load on a truck will creep and loosen over a three-week voyage.”
