What CE certification is required for magnetic window cleaners in Europe?
“Magnetic window cleaners sold in the EU must carry CE marking under the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2014/30/EU). The manufacturer must produce a Declaration of Conformity and a test report from an EU‑recognized notified body. RoHS compliance (below 0.1% hazardous substances) and REACH registration are also mandatory for electronic components.”
View in the company profileHow much holding force should a CE-certified magnetic window cleaner have?
“Holding force must match the glass thickness. For 5 to 12 mm single-pane glass, 50 to 80 kg is sufficient.”
View in the company profileWhat technical specs to ask from a CE-certified magnetic window cleaner supplier?
“Ask for glass thickness range (5 to 35 mm ideal), magnet grade (neodymium preferred), holding force at each thickness increment, battery capacity (≥2200 mAh), motor duty cycle, safety sensor type (IR or Hall effect), IP rating for water resistance, and the exact CE test standard applied. A complete technical datasheet should accompany every quotation.”
